Warehouse Technician 1st ShiftBowling Green, KYAPPLY NOW: https://bsc3pl.com/career-opportunitiesResponsibility & AuthorityThe Warehouse Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving, maintaining, handling, repackaging and shipping materials within the warehouse according to written work instructions. Warehouse Technicians are also committed to maintaining safety and HR standards of conduct at all times; meeting or exceeding expected production rates, logging, maintaining, and documenting critical data as specified by the customer; taking direction from Bluegrass management, as well as the customer; and, any other tasks requested by the customer or Bluegrass. Requirements Minimum Position Requirements (Skills & Abilities)Basic Outlook and Excel experienceCreate, read and interpret and suggest improvements of charts, graphs and other dataProfessional written and verbal communication skillsMaintain accurate and legible recordsUnderstand detailed verbal and/or written work instructions Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detailAbility to train on multiple processes and to work in multiple areas on a regular basisAbility to meet and exceed movement rates while maintaining safety and accuracyTroubleshooting with a functional understanding of the supply chain processCleaning of work area during and following each shiftOrganize and stock materials during and following each shiftAbility to read and understand complex and detailed work instructions Must have steel toesEssential FunctionsThe ability to follow detailed processes and complete tasks with minimal supervisionThe ability to validate the quality of their workDemonstrate a functional mechanical aptitude and reasonable amount of hand dexterity and visual acuityPerform repetitive inspection processes in a standardized patternAbility to work from a standing position for up to 10 hours at a timeNo restrictions on bending, crouching, kneeling, or mobilityIdentify, correct and report any potential safety or quality risks to leadership immediatelyWork effectively with others in a fast-paced, team driven environmentAdaptable to changeMust be available and willing to work overtime as required by business needsAbide by the Bluegrass Core Values at all timeReliable, punctual and committed to safety, quality and deliveryPhysical DemandsTechnicians must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours) on unpadded floors and will occasionally be required to bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull and grasp. Additionally, Warehouse Technicians will occasionally be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Eye/hand coordination is also required. Exposure to chemical hazards, electrical hazards, sharp objects/tools, noise and vibration are anticipated. A Warehouse Technician must be able to read and follow detailed processes. Tools & Equipment UsedHandheld scanning devices and other data collection toolsExcel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and WMS inventory management systemsVarious production tools, including those powered by air pressureRadios, mirrors, flashlights, micrometers, tape measures, dyes, paints, chemical cleaners, rulers, gauges, micrometers, calipers, hand tools, power tools, air tools, steel toed footwear, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and any other tools and equipment required per customer requestPallet jacksEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Work ExperienceQuality Control experience is highly desirable. Customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and are required.
