The incumbent will perform duties in some of the functional areas of the Distribution Center as assigned by the Manager. Functional areas include: order picking, packing, receiving, putting away and shipping.Distribution Center: Dartmouth, NSWork Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PMCORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates activities surrounding the warehouse operationsUnpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriate locationsEnsure pallets and shelving units are in good working conditionsPick customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy by picking the correct number and type of productPick and pack orders in an accurate and efficient mannerOrganize stock and maintain inventoriesPerform daily inspection of forklift prior to useMaintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipmentReport any unsafe work conditions that may occurMaintain a clean and safe working environmentOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMinimum 1 year of recent distribution or warehouse experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience using RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not requiredRequired to operate material handling equipment - licensed with any one of the following forkliftsCounter Balance, Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker, or Dock Stocker (Reach experience preferred)Excellent work ethic and a positive attitudeExcellent attendance and punctualityAbility to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills both oral and writtenAbility to lift heavy objects to 50 LBSSAP background preferred but not requiredIntermediate knowledge of computer applicationsThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
