Technical Writer

WorkWave is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Learning and Development team to help document software solutions that meet the learning requirements of multiple audiences in the WorkWave business. The Technical Writer will be an integral part of a collaborative Learning and Development team responsible for creating instructional documentation, product release notes, and focused training tutorials required to enhance internal and external learning experiences. The Technical Writer will gain an understanding of WorkWave’s products and translate complex information into user-friendly content that meets the needs of our target audiences.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and their documentation requirementsProduce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audienceAttend associated Product meetings to ensure upcoming releases, updates, and new features are recognized and to gain a firm understanding of product updatesWrite easy-to-understand user interface text, online help information, and self-guided learning experiences Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applicationsAnalyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunitiesEnsure a consistent style of presentation of content to maintain quality and ease of reviewManage the distribution of all release notesWHAT YOU'LL BRING:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required0-2 years working as a Technical Writer in the SaaS industryProven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matterExperience in writing documentation for various audiencesSuperb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detailExperience in working with SMEs (subject matter experts) to improve user experience, refine content, and create technical support contentAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent oral communication, presentation, writing, and editing skillsAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers to deliver business resultsExperience in Camtasia is a bonusA FEW WORDS FROM THE HIRING MANAGER:“The right Technical Writer will have strong analytical skills, technical writing ability, and experience developing training documentation.
