Supervisor

Seasonal Summer Position- May 15 August 30, 40 hours a week POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Regional School Age Program Director, the Supervisor, OST is responsible for the daily program operations including, program development and implementation, staff supervision, facility usage and parent relations. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA. ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Implement risk management to provide safety and well-being of all children Integrate YMCA character development program into daily programming Support parental communications and staff with appropriate interactions with children, including discipline procedures Proactively clean and/or repair program areas; maintain supplies and equipment Attend all training courses, staff meetings and in-services without exception Support pre-camp staff training program and on-going in-service training for camp and OST staff Be familiar with the mission statement and core values of the YMCA. Model the core values while working and communicating with other staff members Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical demands described here are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Frequently required to sit, reach and must be able to move around the work environment Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and focus Noise level in the work environment is usually moderateto high QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency Possess a positive and professional attitude Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
