Substitute Teacher

Green Hive Preschool is currently seeking two collaborative teachers to fill temporary positions during the months of March and April. Our beloved collaborative teachers will be absent during this time due to family matters. We are looking for dedicated individuals to cover their responsibilities and ensure the smooth operation of our preschool.The assistant teacher positions offer competitive pay ranging from $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate individuals with a background in early childhood education or a related field.QUALIFICATIONS:-BA in Early Childhood or a related field-Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool children-Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills-Experience working with Reggio Emilia and Emergent Curriculum is a plus-Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plusRESPONSIBILITIES:-Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.-Establish strong daily communication with parents.-Collaborate with families to ensure a smooth transition for children from home to the preschool environment. -Document childrens activities with pictures to share with parents through Brightwheel. -Demonstrate a solid understanding of child development in relation to 2 to 4-year-olds.-Support the physical and socio-emotional development of each child in the classroom.-Collaborate with other teachers and assistants to develop projects based on student interest and work.-Establish clear expectations for students and promote respect, collaboration, participation, community-building, and problem-solving.-Model good citizenship, critical thinking, creativity, and responsibility as a classroom and community member.Provide opportunities for individual and small group investigation and skill-building.-Create an engaging learning environment through daily provocations, hands-on learning opportunities, and documentation.-Work with the team to document children's learning processes, conduct teacher research, and track individual needs.If you are passionate about early childhood education and possess the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply for one of the assistant teacher positions at Green Hive Preschool.
