Mill-King Market and Creamery is a family owned and operated farmstead creamery, dairy and farm store, based outside of McGregor. Specializing in low temperature pasteurized, non-homogenized dairy, Mill-King is rapidly growing and is seeking a office and farm store manager that can integrate into a small, fast paced office. This position is for a manager that would manage the daily operations of the farm store and office. This individual would coordinate between departments, offer administrative support to other management, and manage all aspects of the farm store. Seeking a detail orientated person that is able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment with great customer service skills and an individual that is looking for long term employment. Job DutiesManaging day to day aspects of the farm store & wholesale officeIn charge of maintaining company to-do list and calendarsIn charge of office supply managementGeneral management of incoming and outgoing office activitiesGeneral tasks associated with daily running of MKMC office: emailing, filing, scanning, and decision making.Manage, troubleshoot, train employees on and operate POS system for farm store.Managing inventory, pricing & ordering product for farm storeDetermining and running sales for farm storeDetermining and bringing in new products for the farm storeOversee the checking of inventory spoilage & determining par changes as needed for both office and farm store.Managing & scheduling farm store employees Monitor electronic sensors in freezers and refrigeratorsSocial media postingsJob RequirementsMust be able to read and write EnglishMust be able to operate and make phone calls.Must be able to speak to customers both in person and on the phone.Must be able to operate or learn to operate electronic POS system either in self contained system or tablet form.Must be able to work in spreadsheets and word processing programs.Must be able to operate email.Must be able to operate or learn to operate QuickBooksMust have or be able to obtain food safety manager trainingMust be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.Be able to effectively work in a team environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
