Overview of Role
66degrees is seeking a senior contractor to engage on a 21-week remote assignment for approximately 40 hours per week with potential to extend. Our ideal candidate will understand the value of teamwork and love living in the in-between of project delivery and managing high-trust client relationships. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Requirements

5+ years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing microservices architecture.
Deep knowledge of software architecture in distributed systems.
Able to conduct code reviews and mentor software engineers.
5+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications.
Proficient in Golang.
Familiar with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
Familiar with the scrum process and Git.
Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.
Background in professional services / consulting.
Strong communication skills.
Eagerness to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in developing applications on the Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services, primarily with serverless architectures
Experience with Spanner
