Job Summary:Gotham Freeze is a family-owned frozen dessert business established in 2021. We manufacture Gelato and Sorbet sold both online and at local pop ups. We blend our flavorful cultures and unparalleled passion to create an indulgent and distinctive frozen dessert brand that makes life - and moments - that much sweeter.Description:We are seeking a skilled, positive, trustworthy, enthusiastic, friendly and motivated individual for the Sales Associate position to join our team on a seasonal part time basis that could possibly lead to full time. As a Sales Associate you will be responsible for selling Gelato, Sorbet, and specialty Gelato Sandwiches at the Gelato Cart.Expectations & Responsibilities:Warmly greeting customers with a smile and providing superior customer service to all customers in a polite and expedient mannerAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high-volume of customersSell Gelato, Sorbet, and specialty Gelato Sandwiches at the Gelato CartArrive to work on time and dressed as requiredAbility to enter orders accurately into the point-of-sale system. Confident to work a cash register and manage cash operationsAccurately issue receipts, refunds, credit, or change due to customers and process transactions in a timely fashionComply with food handling, sanitation, and storage regulationsMaintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other team membersTake daily inventoryEnsure Product quality by performing temperature checksMaintaining knowledge about the company and the products in order to address customer questionsProfessional dress and appearance and a positive attitudeOther duties as assignedMaintain a clean and organized work areaQualifications:Approachable, outgoing, excited, and professionalAbility to operate a cash register, and credit card machineAbility to accept guidance and supervisionAbility to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadershipAbility to work independently and be self-motivatedAble to stand for prolonged periods of time, perform repetitive tasks.Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing 20 - 30 poundsAbility to work in outdoor conditions while taking precautions, including hydration and sun-protectionSKILLS:A willing and coachable individual that shows up to work on time!Must be outgoing and assertive.Enjoy working with the general public.Detail orientedAvailable on the weekendsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentIf you are a motivated individual with previous sales experience we encourage you to apply.
