Summary/ObjectiveThe Government Account Manager is responsible for successfully finding and acquiring government contracts that are favorable to the company using various search methods to find opportunities and manage the contracts in such a way to maximize the Companys profitability.Essential FunctionsResearch Federal, State, and Local websites and other mediums where Government entities post RFQsResearch various Military and civilian specifications and have a working knowledge of them so to provide direction as to how to executeKnowledge of legal terms and phrases, contract terms, and federal acquisition regulationsEnter and track bids in government websites.Manage multi-location accounts where a headquarters or decision makers reside outside of our typical geographical sales coverage.CompetenciesCustomer/Client FocusTime ManagementOrganizational SkillsTeamwork OrientationAbility to multitask and switch-taskProblem Solving/AnalysisCommunication Proficiency (verbal and written)Working knowledge of chemistry and other chemicals.Working knowledge of contracts, military specifications, and various government regulations.Working knowledge of navigating SAMs and entering bids.MS Office proficient .Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience working in related fieldPreferred Education and ExperienceCollege degree in related fieldPrevious experience in Chemical SalesPrevious experience working with government contractsJob Type: Full-time
