We are looking for hardworking, goal oriented, integral individuals to apply for the Summer/Fall Season! Our town of Seward, Alaska is a hub for travelers coming in by Cruise Ship/boat, Train, & buses from all over the state! Our small town is known for fishing, close proximity to national parks, hiking, wildlife/glacier viewing, sled dog rides, sea kayaking, ziplining, and so much more! See Job duties and responsibilities belowReport to work on time and be a reliable member of the team - be ready for work when your shift begins. Clearly communicate any deviations from the schedule that you may need in advance. Being here on-time and ready to interact with customers appropriately is a mandatory job function. Through training and leadership, learn the various processes and procedures in quoting rates, completing reservations and rental agreements, and all associate paperwork is required. Learn to use a pos system to complete transactions accurately, efficiently, and in a friendly manner. Complete all following-up processing and reporting according to set procedures.Clearly and respectfully communicate with coworkers about on-going situations and work issues. Maintain a Teamwork attitude and work ethic to complete the various tasks needed to ensure friendly and efficient service, clean & well maintained vehicles, and a safe workplace. Work with other car rental team members to ensure vehicles are clean (interior & exterior), fueled and ready for their next rental. Willingness and ability to wash and/or detail cars at anytime as needed for optimal customer service. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly personal work space, as well as public reception and restrooms. Gain knowledge of the local and state wide travel routes, attractions and transportation options. Feel confident sharing this information with customers in a clear and concise manner. Specific uniform items will be supplied when you are representing the company. Represent Hertz and Thrifty brands in a professional and friendly manner whenever interfacing with customers and community members. Minimum Requirements for position:1+ years customer service experience. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a current/valid Drivers License and be able to provide a current copy of a CLEAN driving record. Employees are required to report ANY driving infractions within 24 hours to employer. Demonstrate good communication skills - both written and verbal.Be able to regularly lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs. Employees are regularly required to be physically active and maneuver in and around vehicles.
