Our top priority is providing high-quality products and personalized service across the country.Essential FunctionsReviews plans and specifications for product quantities and details, and prices of the products by soliciting vendor quotes. Provides accurate cost estimates for bid preparation.Evaluates vendor quotes for accuracy and places product orders for large and small projects in a timely manner in order to meet the construction schedule and purchase within the project budget. The purchasing function of the position has potentially large dollar and scheduling impact on a project and the project s potential profitability and therefore attention to detail, accuracy and promptness are crucial.Accurately measure and design projects for quoting purposes.Communicates effectively with internal and external customers as well as architects both verbally and in writingEffectively communicate between manufacturers and contractors/clients.Identifies and processes all changes per the customers' direction and as requiredCoordinates with project submittal processReports to Lead Estimator on tasks as assigned.Preferred Qualifications2 year degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology or equivalent experience1 year in the Division 10 industry preferredProficient with Microsoft Products, including but not limited to Excel, Word and OutlookEffective time management skills and ability to stick to deadlines requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust be able to read and understand construction contracts and interpret blue prints, specifications and plansKnowledge of Division 10 specialties productsMust have excellent communication skills and positive interpersonal skillsAbility to build solid relationships with customers and peers within the industryAbility to multi-task and handle all types of scopes of projectsDetail orientedStrong mathematical skillsAdditional Experience With The Following Will Be ConsideredBid Coordinator, Construction Estimating Coordinator, Pre-Construction Coordinator, Junior Estimator.Midwest Specialties LLC offers a competitive compensation package that includes salary, bonuses, paid sick time and vacation, observed holidays, as well as 401K program.
