Pool Manager The Swimming Swan is looking for a Pool Manager for the City of Delano community pool. This is a full-time, seasonal position from Memorial Day - Labor Day 2024 (part-time hours potentially available). The ideal candidate has leadership experience in aquatics, a current American Red Cross (ARC) or equivalent Lifeguard Instructor certification, and availability during the summer months.Responsibilities include scheduling staff, leading in-service training and working directly with all staff to aid in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of the pool and surrounding facility. The Pool Manager will also be responsible for conducting Lifeguard Certification courses as needed. DETAILSSeasonal Full-Time: Memorial Day - Labor Day 2024 May 25-Sept 230-40 hours per weekWeekend & Holiday availability requiredPool Hours: May 25-June 2: Sat/Sun only 7am-5pmJune 8-July 26: M-F 7am-7pm, Sat/Sun 7am-5pmJuly 27-Sept 2: Sat/Sun only 7am-5pmPay: $24/hr+ (based on experience & certifications) We offer 50% reimbursement on all certification courses for new hires.$300 Bonus: qualify with a full season of work (May 25-Sept 2)$150 employee referral bonus after 30 days of employment QUALIFICATIONSMust be a minimum of 21 years of age with a High school Diploma or equivalent.Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.Strong customer service background.Current ARC Lifeguard Instructor Certification required (or ability to obtain one w/in 30 days of hire)Ability to complete the ARC Lifeguard Management course w/in 30 days of hire3+ year(s) lifeguard experience required.1+ years of lifeguard experience in a leadership role preferred.1+ years experience coaching/swim instruction preferredAbility to pass pre-employment verbal, swim, and in-water skills tests.
