Parts Runner

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe parts runner/garage assistants responsibilities include driving to pick up and deliver parts to and from assigned locations. We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by the foreman or equipment manager.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSParts runner/garage assistant directly reports to and is accountable to the equipment manager.REQUIREMENTS:A.REQUIREMENTSSafe and cautious driver with a valid, clean driving record.B.EDUCATIONC. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESNote: The following duties are descriptive and not exhaustive. Major duties include the following:1.Safely drives to and from various locations to pick up and deliver parts2.Receives parts and properly stocks in designated areas3.Performs related troubleshooting tasks based on skill level4. Places and tracks orders5.Maintains a clean and safe work area for coworkers6.Keeps supervisor appraised of work progress7. Performs daily maintenance at garage for a safe and clean environment8. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned and performs duties at company established performance levels.D.SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL1. Abide by all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook.2. Ensure all Ajax quality standards are met.3.Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental Rules and Regulations.E.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS1.Garage and field operation Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat.2.Ability to work 40+ hours per week, Monday Friday as required.F.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The essential functions of this position include sitting, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking. Reporting to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized.2. Always providing proper notification and advance notice of absence.3.
