Orthodontic Assistant

We are looking for a friendly and bubbly RDA who will make our Ortho office more pleasant, efficient and fun for our awesome patients! As we are a Pediatric practice, being able to communicate well with the patients and parents is essential. We strive for excellent patient care in a fun loving environment. We require a DA, RDA or OA who has previous orthodontic experience. We love teamwork in ensuring great patient care along with a smooth workday for the whole team!Skills:Experience as an RDA, ideally in the orthodontic fieldKnowledge of orthodontic instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsExcellent communication and people skillsAttention to detailWell-organized and reliableHigh school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferredAdditional certification or training is an assetResponsibilities:Taking patient recordsProvide chairside assistance during orthodontic proceduresTake panoramic radiographs (x-rays)Prepare patients for treatment proceduresSet up instruments, equipment and materials neededSterilize instruments according to regulationsProvide oral hygiene and care instructionsKeep the ortho room clean and well-stockedMaintain accurate patient chartingGreat wages + benefits (medical , pension , paid Holidays , PTO , health savings account, etc.)
