Summary:Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the front office activities. Ensure that all services/documents provided for billing are accurate, timely and fully documented. Provide efficient cash collection through excellent reimbursement practices while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and established company policies and compliance programs.Essential Functions: Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to patients, fellow employees and referral sources. Ensure that accurate insurance information, verification, and pre-authorization is obtained. Process all billing daily, ensuring that claims are accurate, timely and fully documented. Follow up on all open accounts, maintaining thorough chronological financial records on each patient account. Coordinate communications with payers to ensure accurate billing practices, enhance reimbursement opportunities and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Provide counseling to patients advising them of their financial responsibility and obtaining credit agreements for outstanding balances. Apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts, processing deposits. Maintain accurate and complete patient files, ensuring that they are in compliance with Kinetics Minimum Compliance Policies. Administer Patient Follow Up and Patient Recall programs as necessary. Administer quality assurance programs to ensure patient satisfaction as necessary. Ensure timely reporting of key statistics to President. Coordinate scheduling of practitioner schedules to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills. Ability to work with handicapped individuals. Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology and an understanding of front office duties preferred.Required Credentials: High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred. Minimum two years experience in medical billing or medical front office procedures preferred.
