Job Summary The candidate will join the team at Hurricane Logistics to coordinate inbound and outbound transportation solutions for customers, while also focus on new business development efforts to grow their own book of business. The candidates responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: l Responsibility for sourcing capacity solutions for customer freight shipmentsl Building strong and lasting relationships with both customer and carrier networksl Identify problems as they arise and provide solutions for day-to-day operations with shipmentsl Responsible for achieving daily and weekly minimum expectations and KPIs with goals that vary based on directives from managementl Validating carrier qualifications to meet company minimumsl New business development efforts to support organizational growth A qualified candidate will have: l Customer service experiencel High-energy and confidence on the phonel Excellent negotiation skillsl High attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skillsl Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suitel Ability to multitaskl Excellent written and verbal communication skillsl Strong analytical and problem-solving skills A well-qualified individual will have all of the above, but also: l 1-2+ years previous freight brokerage experiencel Experience in developing new business within the transportation industryl A working knowledge of transportation distribution strategiesl Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesl A strong work ethic, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentl A strong sense of urgency with his or her work Compensation and Benefits: l Salary TBD based on experiencel Commissionl Performance-based incentive programl Medical Insurancel Life Insurancel 401k, with company matchl Company Paid Holidaysl Paid Vacation
