Lavelle's Bistro is a busy, high-end restaurant in the heart of downtown Fairbanks. Specializing in hand-cut steaks and fresh Alaskan seafood, we strive to provide the highest quality dining experience for visitors looking to see the best Fairbanks has to offer as well as a loyal customer base of locals. We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen.Responsibilities:- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping- Assist in cooking and preparing various menu items- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenExperience:- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred, but not necessary- Knowledge of food handling and food safety procedures- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment- Experience in meal preparation and following recipes accurately- Understanding of basic dietary requirementsIf you are passionate about food and have experience working in a restaurant or food service industry, we would love to hear from you.
