Flag Landscaping is looking to hire full time maintenance specialists for maintenance, snow removal, and Christmas lighting.Unlike many construction, painting, or landscaping companies we have been able to diversify our winter work with snow removal and holiday lighting to help keep employees steady during the slow months. Matching retirement after 1 year of employment.Position Description:The maintenance specialist position is responsible for developing basic day-to-day lawn/landscape maintenance skills under the direction of a crew lead/foreman to provide a high end service to our clientele. The goal of this position is to learn and develop the hands on skills needed for the trade through reliability and integrity. In turn this position will incentivize growth, both personally and professionally, driving our company culture.Responsibilities:Receive instructions, ask questions, and properly execute a jobsite plan under direction of a crew lead/foreman.Interact and clearly communicate with clients, co-workers, and supervisors in a timely manner.Practice and apply all safety policies and standard procedures to maintain a clean, safe, hazard free jobsite as required through Flag Landscaping safety manual and OSHA.Perform weekly safety meetings, warehouse duties, and truck and trailer checklists under the direction of a crew lead/foreman.Basic landscape maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: Mowing lawns, aerating, dethatching, fertilizing, gutter cleaning, raking, blowing, bagging pine needles/debris, weed control, weed whacking, hedging, trimming, pruning, minor irrigation, xeriscape, and softscape installationJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.25 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 45 per weekBenefits: Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insurance
