Kennel Tech

We are looking for an experienced Kennel Technician with a strong love and patience of animals that takes exceptional care of pets which are being boarded. Duties include feeding and giving water to animals following specific schedules and special feeding instructions. They also clean, organize, and disinfect animal quarters; clean and disinfect the clinic entirely which includes sweeping, moping, cleaning counters and taking trash out; bringing pets up to owners and taking them out to the car for them and taking pets from owners to the kennels; examine and observe animals to check possible signs of illnesses, diseases, or injuries; respond to questions from customers and provide information about animals. Kennel Technicians also provide treatment to sick or injured animals, or contact veterinarians to administer treatment; collect and record animal information such as weight, size, physical condition, food intake, treatments and medications received and mix food, liquid formulas, medications, and food supplements according to prescriptions.Abilities:Physically able to lift 50 poundsFlexibility allows for work on any shiftStrong communication skillsSolid knowledge of kennel sanitation proceduresGood performance of administrative tasksHas excellent patience with animals
