(TP) is an independent, third-party Wood and Biomass products inspection, testing & consulting company with field representation throughout the entire UnitedStates.Job Summary:The Field Inspector travels to work in an assigned territory under the guidance and direction of the Field Supervisor. At times, may have night(s) away from home perweek, once training is complete. Field Inspector performs Wood and Biomassproductaudits. Inaddition,maintainsproperdocumentationbyrecordingtheresultsofinspections throughtest reports; follows specific procedures; solicits new business; trains production staff and adheres to companypolicies.Job Duties and Responsibilities:This position includes an Enterprise fleet vehicle with gas card, iPad, iPhone, & inspection toolsPerform Wood and Biomass product audits by using tools such as hand-held measurement devices, calipers and power drills to sample and/or audit productto verify compliance with applicablestandardsCheck products by random sampling, and performing analysis on samplestakenReport results of inspections through test reports on tablet. When defectsoccur, Representative notifies supervisor and helps toanalyze and correct production problemsTrain production staff Teach lumber graders, treaters and Quality Controlstaff in applicable standards. Work in a production environment, possibly in inclement weather.
