Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients on preventive healthcare measures.Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of acute and chronic health conditions. Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans.Focus on preventive care and health education. Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices, administer vaccinations, perform screenings, and provide guidance on managing chronic diseases.Diagnose common illnesses and injuries, prescribe medications, and offer treatments within scope of practice. Refer patients to specialists when more advanced care is required.Patient education and counseling, including not limited to discussing diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative measures with patients, helping them understand their health conditions and make informed decisions.Manage patients with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, asthma, etc., adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with patients to improve their overall health outcomes.Perform comprehensive health assessments, including taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests to gather information about patients' health status.Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare providers, and specialists to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, to treat various medical conditions.Provide culturally sensitive care and provide care that respects patients' diverse backgrounds and beliefs.Advocate for their patients' health and well-being, helping them navigate the healthcare system and ensuring they receive appropriate care and resources.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records utilizing EMR/EHR systems, documenting assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and other pertinent information.Qualifications:- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner- Strong knowledge of primary care principles and practices- Proficient in performing sterile processing techniques- Experience in senior care is preferred- Familiarity with clinical research protocols and procedures- Ability to accurately measure vital signs and interpret results- Knowledge of psychopharmacology for mental health treatment- Experience with neonatal ventilators for pediatric patients- Proficient in aseptic technique for wound care and procedures- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferredWe offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
