Electro Mechanical Assembler

Reports to: Production ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptWe are currently seeking full-time electromechanical assemblers/solderers to build exciting and challenging products. If you are ready to take on a fresh challenge, grow your career and contribute to supporting homeland defense, armed services, first responders, and law enforcement, Sunair is ready to help you achieve your goals.Skills Required: Must be able to read drawings and work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Must be able to make various electronic and mechanical assemblies for high frequency radios Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using handtools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on board. Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment. Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.Required Experience: Must have 2 years of assembly and soldering experience in a manufacturing environment Must have experience with working in diverse and busy team environment Ability to use small hand tools, read blueprints, assemble detailed parts, communicate effectively in English, read, and understand directions. Basic computer skills are required for this job. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with others. Excellent vision for reading fine print and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time is essential. Candidate must be a High School graduate or equivalent. Must be safety conscious and always follow the companys safety policies and procedures. High School graduate or equivalent (required), some college preferred.Must meet ITAR requirements.Job Type: Full-time
