DOG GROOMER Responsibilities for GroomerExamine the dogs eyes, ears, and teeth for any lumps or swelling, and look for ticks and fleas under its coat. Recognize and alert dog owners to health concerns in their dogs, such as ear infections, skin disorders, or dental decay.Provide grooming services as requested. (Trim, clip, bath etc.)Contribute to the development of service options, client retention and growth.Utilize various grooming techniques and tools.Complete records as needed for compliance with laws and regulations.Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services.Build and maintain relationships with customers.Escalates issues to managers promptlyAble to reach animal body languageCollaborates with managers and other techniciansFollows all company policies and proceduresAdheres to safety regulations and industry standardsClean and sanitize grooming areaUse friendly, positive fear free tactics when dealing with the dogs.Help grow the business and book clientsFT Position. Wage to be determined based on experience.Schedule: M-F NO WEEKENDS! Tub, table, dryer, kennel, cleaning supplies, 3 drawer bin, (for storage) and sharpening provided by company. All other grooming tools are the groomers responsibility (scissors, clipper, brushes etc.). Qualifications for Groomer Excellent communication, interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of dog breeds, stylesWorking knowledge of tools and techniquesAbility to work independently without much supervisionAbility to work full-time hours and when needed overtime.Use fear free methods and standards to provide expectational careA state issued driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Ability to effectively manage time.Organizational skills Education and Experience RequirementsA high school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from a grooming program is preferred.
