This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, customer-centric experienced marketer with excellent people and influence skills to build a world-class global Segment Marketing team. The successful candidate will lead the team to develop strategies and enable ambitious revenue growth in Pharma, Environmental, Food, Forensic and Industrial market segments. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Global Segment Marketing team to develop strategies for LGC Standards market segments. This involves a deep understanding of customer needs and future needs, monitoring competitor activity and proposing organic and inorganic initiatives. Lead the team to develop value propositions for market segments, incorporating LGC Standards full product and service offering, and collaborate with Growth Marketing to support the development of marketing activities to drive business performance.Collaborate with Product Management on organic and inorganic roadmaps to support the Segment strategies.Collaborate with Sales, Business Insights and Commercial Operations to classify customer accounts by industry and support the governance process and revenue reporting by customer segment. Generate insights and collaborate with Growth Marketing and Sales to deliver targeted marketing and sales action plans, including account-based marketing initiatives.Monitor global market trends and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and industry vendors. QualificationsQualificationsUndergraduate degree in science-based discipline, preferably chemistry, MBA is an asset.10+ years’ experience in Marketing, Sales or Product Management, ideally in the Life Sciences tools or Analytical Chemistry industry.Excellent problem solving, coordination and consensus building skills.Keenly attentive to detail with strong analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders in different functions. 3+ years of line management experience with proven leadership skills.Goal orientated, with excellent time management and organisational skills.Proficient in strategic planning, market research and positioning of value propositionsAble to motivate, problem solve, deal with ambiguity, and effectively prioritize business needs.Strong MS Office proficiency is an advantage and is preferable.Additional InformationABOUT LGC: LGC is a leading, global life science tools company, providing mission-critical components and solutions into high-growth application areas across the human healthcare and applied market segments.
