Our goal is to save lives and prevent emergencies through highly skilled response training that builds trust, demonstrates respect, and empowers learners to apply life-saving techniques to any individual in need, under any circumstances.Who We're Looking for:We’re currently seeking a Director of Finance to serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and other company senior leaders and to direct accounting processes on a day-to-day basis and supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions. This individual will be responsible for the month-end close, treasury functions, and financial statement management. Other responsibilities include: Serve as strategic advisor to the CEO on all matters related to the company’s finances. Partner with division leaders to assess their business lines and provide guidance and mentoring on strategy and growth. Oversees day-to-day operation of all accounting functions. Supervises and manages external accounting partners on accounting activities including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and explanation of variances. Oversees all treasury functions. Oversees month-end close process. Oversees preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial reports. Establishes, monitors, and documents internal control procedures. Oversees preparation and filing of all state sales and use tax returns. Responsible for annual audit and tax requirements from third-party audit/tax firms. Oversees AP Department, approves large payables, and authorizes wire transfers and ACH transactions. Monitors AR management and collection process. Identifies gaps in internal processes and procedures and help deploy controls to mitigate. Drives process improvements, including streamlining monthly close and supporting accounting projects. Develops new reports and processes as needed by management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required. Master of Accounting, CPA, or MBA preferred Prior experience with Quickbooks required. Experience with Bill.com and Hubspot preferred. 6+ years of accounting month end close experience 5+ years of accounting experience with accounts payable, receivable, and treasury. 5+ years of supervisory experience. Proven track record in building and leading the finance and accounting department in an entrepreneurial environment. We are open to starting to receive support from an individual providing consulting services at the onset of the relationship, and even on a part time basis, with the understanding that the intended plan is for the individual to be a long term full time employee.
