Job description:Behavior services are applied either within GoldStar Learning Options (GLO) or out in the community. Collaborating with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), this person will be responsible for executing personalized programs designed to achieve participant goals. In addition, this person will be working with participants who need close supervision due to high magnitude maladaptive behaviors (physical aggression, self-injurious behaviors, elopement, other unsafe and dysregulated behaviors). Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and professional crisis management will support with self-regulation and coping skills. ABA will also focus on developing fundamental skills like observation, listening, requesting, and imitation, as well as advanced skills such as reading, conversing, and grasping another person's perspective. We aim to optimize strengths and abilities, enabling each individual to reach their highest potential and fulfill their unique life purpose.Roles & Responsibilities:Actively engage and supervise individuals with disabilities with high magnitude maladaptive behavior, addition to assisting in the facilitation of daily activities and progress toward personalized goalsAssist with basic hygiene and possible toiletingParticipate in activities of daily livingProvide an appropriate level of supervisionAssist in planning and facilitating group activitiesImplement appropriate behavior response protocolsWork with individuals as specified in their individual program and with respect to the rights of all adult participantsWork with other staff members to support groups of participantsGoing on community outings with participants when scheduledComplete daily documentations and data collectionEnsure health and safety needs are being metJob Requirements:Must be 21 years or olderHigh school diploma or GED.
