Job descriptionQuality Medical Imaging, a state-of-the-art provider of Mobile Digital X-rays Ultrasounds is currently hiring. We have been in business since 2001 and we are looking for talented people to join our team! We are currently recruiting for a Per Diem Sonography Technician for our Team.Performs and assesses ultrasounds to assist in the diagnosis of disease, works effectively with patients and families, and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for ultrasound/sonographic examinations, including two-dimensional, Doppler, and M-mode.*Responsible for patient preparation, including obtaining vital signs and recording on charts.*Responsible for patient relations, including providing information to patient's family members.*Responsible for liaison communication between patients, physicians, and supervisor.*Responsible for clinical/technical area supplies.*Drives company vehicle to exam locationsPerforms all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Certificates and Licenses: Current CPR certification Must complete annual education requirements Must maintain regulatory requirements Eligible for ARDMS registry within three months of hire Valid driver's license Must meet insurance underwriting requirementsEquipment:Ultrasound machineLanguage Ability:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Education/Experience:Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent in Sonography/Ultrasound from two-year college or technical school; and less than one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
