Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on every other Saturday from 9-3. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting oral health.Responsibilities:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling & root planing, and polishing- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and taking vital signs- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care- Administer local anesthesia as needed- Take intraoral and panoramic X-rays for diagnostic purposes- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records systems- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologiesQualifications:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program- Proficiency in using dental software (Dentrix) for patient management and scheduling- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills- Solid knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditionsWe offer competitive compensation based on experience.If you are a dedicated Dental Hygienist looking to join a dynamic team, please apply with your resume attached.
