Dental Assistant

Job descriptionResponsibilities:- Assist the Oral Surgeon during procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental X-rays- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions- Ensure infection control protocols are followed, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacyQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience- X-Ray certification required- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
