This is a fully remote freelance opportunity and is open to candidates located anywhere in Mexico.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Brafton is looking for a Mexico-based freelance writer to create content in Spanish. The writer will produce strong, creative, and industry-specific pieces that are incorporated into content marketing campaigns for Brafton's clients. Viable candidates must handle long-form articles and may research and write copy for white papers, eBooks, web copy, and video scripts, all on deadline.

This is an ongoing freelance opportunity involving several hours per month. In addition to writing, projects may include research, interviews, ideation, and client-facing video calls.

Candidates should have strong English communication skills for collaboration with Brafton's global workforce. Please include a CV or cover letter in English.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Research, create, revise, and deliver high-quality content to clients according to specified deadlines.
Work with Project Managers and Content Marketing Strategists to ensure our clients’ expectations and goals are met.
Virtually attend project, client, and team meetings as needed.
Brainstorm and pitch topics.
Track writing and editing production work using our in-house project management system.


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

1-3 years of professional writing experience.
A degree in a related field, such as Spanish literature or creative writing.
Strong English communication skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills with an extreme attention to detail.
Comprehensive understanding of SEO and best practices for branded writing.
Strong, efficient research abilities and the ability to quickly learn, understand, and write about various subjects.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
A creative approach to client briefs and content marketing goals.
Strong videoconferencing presence for client meetings.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members in a fully remote environment.
Knowledge of AP (Associated Press) Style is a plus.

This is a 100% remote working role, so location is not important. Your immediate supervisor would be based out of our Boston Office in the US, however you’ll be able to operate day to day in your local time zone. As such you must be setup to operate effectively from your own work-space and be comfortable with pure remote / home-based working. Brafton’s core business is heavily remote focused - and was so well before the COVID-19 pandemic; as such the business is extremely agile and well adapted to such working practices. Contractors must have use their own industry-related hardware.
