Position summaryThe Compliance Manager will be responsible for manging and overseeing the implementation of regulatory compliance measures through the development of company-wide policies, procedures, training and programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. The Director will perform a wide variety of activities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and client guidelines.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConducting compliance risk assessment training workshopsConducting internal reviews and auditsConducting operational audits to ensure the company meets operational requirementsAdvising internal management and business partners on the implementation of compliance programsDeveloping risk management strategiesFollowing up on compliance issues that require investigationReporting on complianceDealing and being the point of contact for the regulatorsConducting regular GAP analysis on new and updated controls and best practices in the industryOther duties as assignedCompetenciesExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsWorking knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, PCI Security, SAS 70/ISO (a plus) and additional state and federal laws applying to collection activitiesAbility to read, interpret, understand, and implement regulations and regulatory requirementsAbility to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reportsProficient in Microsoft Office applications and other professional software Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree preferred2 - 4 years relevant experienceAdvanced training in regulatory compliance for consumer financial services
