In this role, under the guidance of the Associate Director of Communications, the Communications Specialist will represent the Communications Team by aligning digital communications and online promotional activities with the mission of First Presbyterian Church. The environment is often fluid, and projects are time-sensitive, so the ideal candidate can prioritize assignments, multi-task, work with minimal supervision, function under tight deadlines, and is as comfortable working alone as they are with a team.Position Details: Year-round, full-time position, exempt Avg. 40-45 hours per week (sometimes more during peak season, January-April) Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000 salary (based on experience) Non-profit organization located in Bonita Springs Christian work environmentRequired Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills Responsible and reliable with exceptional administrative abilities Highly detail-oriented and organized Creative thinker and problem solver Self-starter, strong work ethic, and highly productive Flexible and resourceful Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working alone and as a team Trustworthy background check & drug screening required Proficient with computers and office technology Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook) Working knowledge of SEO management and web-based platformsDesired Skills: Experience with digital content management, web management, and SEO Experience with Google Ads, Google Ad Words, Google My Business, Facebook ads, etc. Experience in an administrative support role within the Marketing or Communications field Experience with WordPress or other back-end content management systems Familiarity with project management software (Monday, Basecamp, etc.) College degree in related field (Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.) or at least two years of comparable work experiencePrimary Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and assist with information output across various digital platforms Facilitate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly email marketing campaigns for the church and other ministries as necessary Maintain online calendar of events to reflect the most up-to-date programming information Audit website regularly, verify and ensure accuracy of all forward-facing details Consistently enhance our websites SEO, research and incorporate keywords into copy Utilize analytical tools to measure performance and make data-driven improvements Plan and initiate promotional campaigns, such as Facebook ads, Google Ad campaigns, or others throughout the year Measure campaign performance, create new strategies, and continuously improve outcomes Manage several social media accounts and maintain a positive public image within these networks by engaging in a professional manner and answering questions when possible Create a digital content calendar and ensure timely publication and accuracy of information Schedule meetings with appropriate persons regarding special projects or regular occurrences Work collaboratively with other team members to help accomplish larger projects Other tasks as assigned
