JOB DESCRIPTIONHours: Flexible 8-5 M-FOrient any new clients, including explaining documentation for signature regarding rules and regulations, and use rules. Issuing bedding, toiletries, and clothing from the pantryDischarge documents at the time of the client's exitTalk and interact with clients during the shift, and document and report any concerns to the Director immediately.Coach clients and guide them through individual hardships, financial literacy, etc.Meet with clients as needed in addition to weekly/monthly evaluations and case notes and reviews.File case notes weekly for each client and update the Director accordingly.Locate housing opportunities for the client.Assist clients in eliminating barriers to housing.Liaise with local social work organizations to secure resources for client.Refer clients to outside agencies as needed.HMIS utilization and data entry.MUST be familiar with 12 step and recovery processMust have effective communication, and be able to meet client needs urgently.QualificationsIdeal candidates are friendly, motivated, and self-sufficient. Caseworkers work with minimal supervision or direction and must be able to stay on task. Caseworkers must be able to maintain professional boundaries in a relaxed, close environment. Preference is given to Veterans in hiring.Must be drug and alcohol free and MUST PASS DRUG TEST.1+ years of experience in a related field or job title.Must hold a valid driver's license.BSW or closely related degree or previous experience in a caseworker roleKnowledge of VA standards and policies a plus.Must have experience with word processing software and G-Mail. Computer literacy skills are essential to this position.
