Cedars of Marin (www.cedarslife.org) provides day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Cedars began in 1919, and for more than a century our person-centered programs and services have supported hundreds of clients in living creative, productive, joyous and healthy lives.We are seeking a full-time 1:1 in our Community Connections program (www.cedarslife.org/community-connections) to work directly with an individual, providing support for him to participate in various activities including music and arts & crafts. You will help with the oversight of his day to day functions, and provide support in a manner that ensures his health, safety and happiness.Hours are Monday Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.General Qualifications:1. Experience in supporting adults with developmental disabilities is strongly desired.2. Desire to help others achieve their full potential.3. Medical background, skills, and terminology is a plus.4. Ability to think ahead and take initiative.5. English communication skills, both written and verbal.6. The ability to drive a passenger van. A valid CA driver's license and 3 years of driving experience.7. Proficient in the use of email.8. CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both.9. Ability to pass an occupational employment physical including a TB test, and meet the physical requirements of the job.10.
