Benefits Manager
As a Benefits Manager, you will be a key member of our Human Resources team, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing employee benefits programs. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our organization offers competitive and attractive benefits packages to support the well-being and satisfaction of our employees. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, benefits providers, and regulatory bodies to optimize our benefits offerings and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities will include:

Develop and execute a comprehensive benefits strategy aligned with the organization's goals, culture, and budgetary considerations. Continuously evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to attract and retain top talent.
Manage all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, disability insurance, leave policies and other fringe benefits.
Oversee all aspects of benefits administration, including annual renewal, enrollment, audits, filings and data management across relevant systems. Implement efficient and user-friendly processes to streamline benefits management and ensure a positive employee experience.
Monitor the effectiveness of our benefits programs and identify areas for improvement. Track key metrics such as participation rates, cost per employee, and satisfaction levels to inform strategic decision-making.
Select and manage relationships with benefits vendors, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, brokers, and consultants. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues or discrepancies in service delivery.
Stay informed about changes in benefits-related laws and regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA. Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements and coordinate with legal counsel or regulatory agencies as needed.
Manage a Benefits Specialist: assign work and provide feedback and guidance.

Desired Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits, preferably in a start-up or high-growth environment and/or a company with a national or multi-national presence.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability coverage, and leave policies.
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing employee benefits, such as ERISA, ACA, FMLA, and HIPAA.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Proficient with excel and HRIS systems.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in benefits programs.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
