Barista

Coffee BaristaWe are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, tea, frappe and Lotus drinks. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling pastry and deli items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how espresso equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Note: this positions compensation includes salary and tips. Ultimately, youll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests. Saturday Shifts are REQUIREDResponsibilitiesGreet customers as they enterAnswer their questions regarding ingredientsTake orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)Prepare beverages following recipesServe beverages and sometimes prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffinsReceive and process payments (cash and credit cards)Keep the bar area cleanMaintain stock of fridges, cups, and foodCheck if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needsComply with health and safety regulationsCommunicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu itemsSkillsPrevious work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress (preferred but not required)Hands-on experience with brewing equipmentKnowledge of sanitation regulationsFlexibility to work various shiftsBasic math skillsAbility to gauge customers preferencesExcellent customer serviceJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $13.00 per hour
