If you possess the skills and passion for leadership and education administration, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position!Assistant Director Job Description:Under the supervision of the Academy Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children, families, and employees. This includes understanding and executing DHS Rule 3, Early Childhood Academy policies, and health & safety guidelines required by MN Health Nurse and other health & safety professionals. The Assistant Director will also work as acting Director in the Academy Director's absence and serve in other roles as needed, including coverage and support in any/all classrooms. This position requires someone detail-oriented, a clear communicator, team-player, self-motivated, reliable, and able to lead in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.Duties and Responsibilities:- Implement day-to-day operations and program activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.- Ensure compliance with DHS Rule 3, Early Childhood Academy policies, and health & safety guidelines.- Provide leadership and support to staff, children, and families.- Serve as acting Director in the Academy Director's absence.- Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of staff.- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by licensing and accreditation standards.- Foster positive relationships with families and community partners.- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.- Perform other duties as assigned by the Academy Director.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.- Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role in a child care setting.- Knowledge of DHS Rule 3 and early childhood education best practices.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).- Must meet state licensing requirements for background checks.To Apply:If you are passionate about early childhood education and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families, we encourage you to apply!
