Job Description
The role of Copywriter on the A&F Creative Marketing team will focus on the creation of engaging, on-brand copy to appear across social channels. Successful candidates will have a passion for our brand, a high level of engagement on social media, a dynamic voice and in-depth knowledge of fashion and retail trends. All A&F copywriters must possess near-perfect editing and grammar skills and be able to write short, smart, snappy copy that has a clear point of view and a recognizable voice. The ideal applicant is curious, energetic, optimistic and highly collaborative.

What Will You Be Doing?

Writing engaging social copy for A&F and abercrombie kids
Generating unique content creation ideas with creative partners
Developing and implementing social strategies to increase awareness/ engagement
Staying on top of social trends and language
Writing copy for organic social feed, stories and platforms
Helping write copy for paid media, SMS and push notifications
Editing copy based on leadership feedback, changes to product, trends, performance, etc.
Applying high-level campaign messaging to social platforms appropriately
Staying curious and up-to-date on fashion trends & terminology
Performing and sharing competitive research with the team to better inform copy going forward

What Do You Need To Bring?

Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing or Advertising/Copywriting, or related experience
1-3 years of copywriting experience, preferably in the retail space
Basic knowledge of marketing principles
Proficiency in social media and understanding of best practices across platforms
Strong written/ verbal communication & exceptional editing skills
Seamless collaboration skills, including openness to copy coming from anywhere
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Open to providing feedback and receiving constructive criticism
An ongoing interest in fashion & familiarity with our brand/ competitors
Self-starter mindset with the ability to project manage requests as needed
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams & Adobe Creative Suite
