On call airline Maintenance Technician is responsible for repair maintenance service of mostly commercial aircraft using hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.Schedule rotation 4 days on 3 days off.Duties & Responsibilities+ Must be self motivated.+ Answers phone and responds to airline calls in 30 minutes or less.+ Performs repair and service on general aviation aircraft+ Carries an on call phone 24/7/365 on scheduled shift days+ Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work+ Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor+ Offers technical advice via phone+ Travels as required via car.+ Coordinate offsite road trips+ Obtains customer approval+ Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish workQualifications & Job Requirements+ Three (3) years' experience preferred working on commercial airlines, cooperate, and G.A+ Broad knowledge of aircraft systems+ Airframe & Powerplant certifications requiredOther Prerequisites+ Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check+ Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badgeWork Environment & Physical Requirements+ Work is performed on the line, employee will be exposed to outdoor weather and industrial type noise conditions. Must have willingness and ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and 25 lbs. overhead.
