Accounts Payable Specialist

A fast paced, growing company in the Construction Industry located on the Nassau County / Suffolk County border of Long Island is seeking a full time experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills with an attention to detail, possessing a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize work. The prospective employee should have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work well with our executive and support staff as well as being a liaison with our vendors. The individual must handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism at all times. The job applicant will perform a variety of tasks such as but not limited to matching purchase orders and delivery tickets to invoices and resolving any discrepancies - entering invoices and processing timely payments to vendors - reconciling vendor statements - generating reports for upper management and assisting other accounting team members as needed with a willingness to cross train within the accounting department and perform other office tasks as needed.
