Position: Staff Accountant Location: Monmouth/Salem (with occasional travel within Josephine and Jackson Counties)Type of Position: Regularly Scheduled, Full-time, Salaried non-exemptStarting Wages/Benefits: $3,500 - $3,600/month, DOE. This competent accounting professional will take great pride in the completeness and accuracy of the work they do. They perform the tasks outlined in the profile with minimal error, and complete assigned work in a timely manner. The person in this role has excellent communication skills and is professional in her/his contact with all PCL team members and other individuals they will come into contact with in the process of completing his/her job duties as the Staff Accountant. This person will have positive and professional relationships with the employees, vendors and professionals at the financial institutions with whom PCL does business. They will process and support the agency banking transactions. They will meet or exceed expectations regarding the support the accounting department is assigned to provide. **Per Oregon Health Authority Rules, PCL has adopted a policy requiring all associates to be fully vaccinated/willing to be vaccinated (while completing Orientation) against COVID-19, subject to limited exemptions based on medical conditions, sincerely held religious beliefs or applicable state laws and regulations.**Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Attention to detail with follow through Proficiency with Excel Familiarity with google docs a plus Must be able to perform and/or manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities concurrently with a positive attitude and approachSelf- starter with the ability to work independently but within the team structure Supportive of fellow team members Solution focusedAbility to communicate effectively with team mates and the public/vendorsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMaintain and/or assist in developing internal controls that complement the agency and department goals and objectivesAttendance is an essential function of this positionDuties and Responsibilities:Assists Executive Financial Operations Officer with coordinating appropriate data to provide to an outside CPA to prepare federal and state tax returns and annual fiscal auditComplete the house reimbursements at the beginning of each monthCodes and correctly inputs financial information into the accounting programPrepare the agency deposits, record the information in the accounting program and take the deposits to the various banksDocument preparation for tracking the credit card paymentsRecording, payment and billing when necessary, of all utility invoices for the homes of the people PCL supportsProcess the monthly Individual Spending money.Monthly reconciliation of the PTO and paid leave pool for PCL team membersProvide input/ideas and actively participate during team meetings and team work daysEnsure that all accounting files are maintained in an orderly and timely fashionAssist with the budget entry into the accounting system as neededAssist with archiving of records as needed.Develop accounting skills and support the team by taking on other projects as neededAssist with eXPRS billingPCL is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free Employer that Greatly Values Our Employees!
