Due to the number of applications, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSETest video games for functionality and usability including tuning, debugging and suggesting detailed refinements that lead to higher quality and better playability of the finished gameWHY YOU SHOULD WORK WITH PGI:Flexible Schedules & Remote Working ArrangementsPeople-focused Events & InitiativesComprehensive BenefitsCompetitive CompensationRESPONSIBILITIESExecute assigned testing and test plan tasks in a timely and efficient mannerAssist development team in branch testing, bug fixing and patch testingIdentify in-game bugs to be rectified by the development teamReport bugs into database using precise and detailed descriptions and the required steps to reproduce the bugsTest for regression of bugsPerform targeted and exploratory testingUse a proactive, problem-solving approach to diagnose problems and to propose solutions to improve efficiency of testing cyclesBecome an active participant in shaping the success of the teamAdditional tasks may be assigned as neededREQUIREMENTS:2-4 years’ prior testing experience in the gaming industryExtensive experience in playing video games, either console or PC online titlesStrong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skillsEnthusiasm and knowledge of video games and a love for breaking games and fixing bugsHighly self-motivated and able to excel in a fast paced, dynamic environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCapable of working with little instruction to resolve demanding tasks, as well as work with internal teamsFlexible with schedule and willingness to work overtime as requiredADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSExperience with JIRA and DevTrackExperience with current F2P titlesKnowledge of computer networkingAbility to troubleshoot PC/Console Hardware/SoftwareExperience with scripting languages for automation such as Python and JScriptThe pay range for this role is:40,000 - 60,000 CAD per year (Remote - Canada)
