ABOUT USEvent Horizon Films is an award-winning film production company and screenwriting service in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York. Founded in 2019, EHFs network of film professionals include Academy Award-, Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-winning talent and partners at top talent agencies and literary management companies. EHF is also the official host of the nationally-recognized screenwriting competition for the Dallas International Film Festival. THE WORKThe EHF Summer Internship is available to students and volunteers with a primary focus in event production and the film industry, marketing/sales, communication, public relations, business major or related field. Candidates must have an interest in film and possess the ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills to be considered for this position. If youre a goal-oriented and creative problem solver, the summer internships will help you build foundational career skills in planning, execution, customer support, and team collaboration.This is an opportunity to gain experience in both the film and event planning industries. EHF interns will work directly with the Creative team to support EHF initiatives, film productions and work on set during film shoots. Interns will also be involved in planning, developing, implementing and managing program initiatives for the Dallas International Film Festival's annual screenwriting competition.Responsibilities:Event planning/coordinating for film productions, the DIFF screenwriting competition and special EHF events.Research and identify celebrity speakers and judges.Coordinate sponsorships and competition prizes.Write copy for marketing materials.Maintain media and influencer lists.Generate new business leads.Research and analyze trends in the market.Contribute to the development of marketing strategy.Conduct market research and compile reports.Managing schedules.Engaging with EHF's partners, customers and communities.Student Interns: All internship applicants seeking course credit are required to provide proof of their internship requirements for school.Volunteer Interns: Applicants do not have to be in school to participate. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for those seeking experience!An internship is any official or formal program that provides practical experience in an occupation or profession. It is done in exchange for school credit (usually as a graduation requirement) from an accredited college or university.We also have opportunities for the same positions to those who want to volunteer their time in exchange for credentials and to gain creditable experience in an occupation or profession in the film or event planning industry.
