Bicycle Technician

Berkeley Cycle Works is currently seeking a bicycle technician with a minimum of one year of experience wrenching on bikes in a professional bike shop. This could be a full-time or part-time position with competitive pay based on experience.We operate with a small staff so you would you play a key role on the store's function. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with an attention to detail, computer literate, passionate about bicycles and ride bikes regularly.Duties include:Completing simple to complex repairs on a wide variety of bicyclesEvaluating bikes coming in for repair and providing the customer with a quoteCreating and scheduling work orders utilizing a computerized point-of-sale systemCommunicating with customers as needed before, during and after the repair processBuilding new bikesAccessorizing and completing final checks on new bikesMaintaining a clean and orderly workstationSome sales when the sales staff could use a little extra helpShifts may include some weekdays to 6pm and Saturdays.
